Intro to Merchant Factors

Merchant Factors was founded in 1988 by CEO, Johnny Philippou. The vision was to offer corporate businesses a sound alternative to traditional bank loans and overdrafts. Today we are one of the leading, BEE compliant, factoring and trade finance companies in the country.

Merchant Factors prides itself on innovation and flexibility. We offer local and cross-border trade financing, and are able to tailor our facilities to suit most emerging small and medium size businesses. We are just as comfortable handling a turnover of R100, 000 per month as we are R15, 000, 000 per month.

Merchant Factors is not a division of a banking group. Our independence and flat organisational structure allows us the fastest turnaround time in the industry from application to pay-out.
